In 2017, Steven Bursten celebrates his 57th year in the window coverings industry. Bursten is co-founder of Exciting Windows! a national network of 42 independent window fashions retailers and nearly 100 decorating consultants. Bursten also co-founded Window Coverings University with classroom instruction and online distance learning specializing in sales and profit management. A Graduate of Missouri University and a course for small business owners at Harvard University, he is author of "Bootstrap Entrepreneur", published by Thomas Nelson, plus more than 100 articles in leading trade journals on window coverings sales and management. Bursten is also the founder of Decorating Den Interiors, an international franchise company, and co-founder of the International Window Coverings Exchange, an organization of a dozen members retailing over $100 Million retail sales.

Mr. Bursten initiated Exciting Windows! in 2004 with a goal of making internet technology accessible to independent window coverings businesses nationwide.
