President and CEO, Classic Custom Kitchens (1997 - 1999) Classic is the holding company for Heritage, St. Charles® and Rutt® Custom Kitchens. Developed the strategic plan for the acquisition and development of a collection of high-end kitchen companies where the individual brands would remain strong and independent, while the organization would capture many of the advantages of a larger entity. The combined sales of Heritage and Rutt® (not yet including St. Charles®) were approximately $60 million. (Successfully sold Classic Custom Kitchens October 15, 1999.)

President and CEO, Heritage Custom Kitchens (1992 - 1999)
Acquired Heritage Custom Kitchens as a $11 million regional manufacturer of custom kitchens in 1992. In four years, the company had grown to a nationally recognized $21 million world-class designer and manufacturer of top quality kitchens and baths. Through the re-engineering of the company's strategic focus, product line and customer base, Heritage was named Manufacturer of the Year by the National Kitchen & Bath Association, established a recognized brand, and had turned around a $500,000 operation loss to a $2.5 million operating profit.

E.I. duPont deNemours & Co., Inc. (1973 - 1992)

Worldwide Marketing Manager - Consumer Products (1989 - 1992)
Responsible for sales, marketing, strategic planning, etc. for all consumer products within the Polymer Division, including product lines such as TEFLON®, CORIAN® and LUCITE®. This newly created position was designed to leverage consumer marketing skills (scarce in Dupont) over a larger group of business. Total sales were $400 million with a 12% after-tax earning.

Worldwide Business Manager - TEFLON® Finishes (1985 - 1989)
European Manager - CORIAN® Products (1984 - 1989)
These two responsibilities overlapped due to the crucial stage of the European CORIAN® business development. As Worldwide Business Manager of TEFLON® located in Brussels, the position had responsibility for all regions (the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Europe/Middle East/Africa), in addition to two manufacturing sites and two Research and Development Centers.

The TEFLON® business during the period improved sales volume by over 30% and earnings by 250%. The CORIAN® business performed in a similar manner. As a result, in 1989, I received two Corporate Marketing Excellence Awards for the contribution to both businesses. This was the first and only double winner of these awards.
