I worked in the bedroom until after midnight last night….For the curtains, I coffee stained muslin and nailed it to the top of the window trim–no sewing, no rods, nothing! Then I tied them up with coffee stained ticking, which matches the ties on the new bed curtains. I have plans to make another bed skirt (as a longer, under layer) in the same ticking. I found a rug we had a few houses ago (used to be in the foyer back then)..It just fits at the end of the bed perfectly, and matches the quilt to boot! I placed a 19c baby cradle and one of my favorite vintage quilts in it, which covers all my books that are hidden underneath.  I still have to fill the walls, but I ran out of energy, and also I didn’t want to be nailing and screwing screws into the walls with the kids sleeping.
