Funnel cakes, Ferris wheels and Fun – oh my! It is day 4 of the Monroe County Fair in Monroe, Michigan and it has been a whirlwind of activity!
Our booth has been bustling with inquiries on window tretments and shading products. We are hearing a lot of positive comments and a few people have mentioned that they didn’t know we were around. Well I am hear to tell you that we are Monroe’s best kept secret! Stop in at Booth #59 in the MB&T Expo center {it is air conditioned!!!!!} and see what we are all about! We have a custom bedroom set on display including bedding, pillows, a one of a kind curved cornice and silk drapery panels hung on decorative medallions – it is absolutely stunning!!!!! We look forward to talking with you!!!!!!!

Spring has sprung! Green grass, blooming flowers, singing birds and fresh air………. it time to throw open the windows and blow the “stink” of winter out of the house {as gramma used to say}. Spring cleaning is under way and maybe you have noticed how tired and dingy your old sheers are looking. Why not start this Spring season off with a bang….

What a busy day we had yesterday! We spent the afternoon setting up our booths, wow that is a lot of work! But they look fantastic!
Fawn Chang, a Feng Shui expert and color specialist will be sharing our booths this year. She will also be hosting two seminars on Saturday 3/03/12, 12:00 noon – “Change your home and you change your life” and at 4:15 pm “Color trends and tips”. Another celebrity guest appearing at the show will be Dr. Lori – Antique Appraiser and she will host a seminar on Sunday 03/04/12 at 11:30 am. It will be a fun filled weekend, bustling with all kinds of activities! Be sure to stop by our booth and say “HI” and meet Fawn! We look forward to seeing you at the show!

2012 The year of the Dragon
It has been said that the mythical creature will bring with it optimism and hope for better times ahead in 2012. The dragon is a symbol of power and superior control, change and mobility. It is a good symbol. In past dragon years, it seems that the world economy has done a better.

That being said, we hold high hopes that this will be the year that everything changes for the better.
We have hit the ground running in 2012, creating a path of success, challenging ourselves to “step outside our box” and make things happen!

Seasons are changing, darkness falls earlier………… all tell tale signs that the holiday season is upon us! Seems as though time flies as soon as we make it through Thanksgiving. Before we know it the snow will be falling and the air will turn bone chilling cold. Some radio stations started playing Christmas music before Halloween! Even with the holidays fast approaching, we need to stop and take a moment to give thanks for all that we have and all that we have accomplished during this difficult economy. All of us at Couture by Karen, Inc. would like to thank our customers, past, present and future and to let them know how very grateful we are for their friendship and patronage!
