Funnel cakes, Ferris wheels and Fun – oh my! It is day 4 of the Monroe County Fair in Monroe, Michigan and it has been a whirlwind of activity!
Our booth has been bustling with inquiries on window tretments and shading products. We are hearing a lot of positive comments and a few people have mentioned that they didn’t know we were around. Well I am hear to tell you that we are Monroe’s best kept secret! Stop in at Booth #59 in the MB&T Expo center {it is air conditioned!!!!!} and see what we are all about! We have a custom bedroom set on display including bedding, pillows, a one of a kind curved cornice and silk drapery panels hung on decorative medallions – it is absolutely stunning!!!!! What a busy day we had yesterday! We spent the afternoon setting up our booths, wow that is a lot of work! But they look fantastic!
Fawn Chang, a Feng Shui expert and color specialist will be sharing our booths this year. She will also be hosting two seminars on Saturday 3/03/12, 12:00 noon – “Change your home and you change your life” and at 4:15 pm “Color trends and tips”. Another celebrity guest appearing at the show will be Dr. Lori – Antique Appraiser and she will host a seminar on Sunday 03/04/12 at 11:30 am. It will be a fun filled weekend, bustling with all kinds of activities! Be sure to stop by our booth and say “HI” and meet Fawn! We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Yes, yes it is! Our local Home Builder’s Association (HBA) Home & Lifestyle Show is scheduled for February 25-27, 2011 and it is time to start thinking ahead to our participation in this great event.

With 12 weeks to go, it is time to start planning our booth display, to think about offering a seminar for the public on selecting window treatments, and to consider inviting a well-know personality, like HGTV’s Michael Payne (perhaps!), to come share his or her knowledge and enthusiasm with show attendees.

HBA shows serve many purposes. For the vendors, it is a chance to advertise, to educate potential customers, and to make that all-important positive first impression. For show attendees it is a chance to see what services are available locally and to really do some preliminary planning for needed home improvement projects. But mostly, it’s fun to meet new people and get excited about spring and creating living spaces that they people absolutley love.
