Have you seen what’s happening with roller shades lately? We can’t get over the selection of beautiful fabrics available from suede to sheer linens, screen shades and even natural grasses are being used for these timeless shades. To further personalize your choice, you can add trim or banding, place the roller in a cassette or cover it with a coordinating valance, add a decorative hem, or even a decorative rod exposed at the hem. If that isn’t enough, how about using a remote control to operate the shade?

One of our primary concerns when working with clients is safety. We always ask about small children and even pets in the home before making any recomendations for specific products. If you have small children or pets in the home you really should take a walk around the home and see if your window treatments pose a potential risk. Look for cords that dangle close to the floor or near furniture that a child might climb on. Would it be possible for these cords to become wrapped around a childs neck? Is there a way to hook the cords up out of the reach of a child?
You can learn much more at the website of the Window Covering Safety Council. They even offer free kits to retrofit most window coverings.

Make your window a background
You’ll add beauty and grace to your home by creating a soft background in your window treatment design. Choosing simple lines, soft swags and muted or neutral colors help make a gentle, yet finished-looking decorative statement, a lovely background for a comfortably beautiful room.
Decorator blinds and shades are now available in such a wide array of styles, you may want to consider them as a background option, too. There are too many to mention here, but ask me for some suggestions… you’ll be amazed at the flexibility, functionality and beauty these new options provide.
Whether you choose to make your windows a focal point, or a subtle yet dramatic background, remember that each window in your home serves its functional purpose.
We service the cities of La Verne, Glendora, San Dimas, Covina and West Covina as well as the San Gabrial Valley.

Any window opening that is not square or rectangular is reffered to as a specialty shape. These windows are usually used as an architectural detail in home construction and add to the beauty of the home. The windows themselves are beautiful and are usually quite expensive. When the homeowner decides that some sort of covering is needed, preserving the beauty of the opening is normally a priority added to the need for privacy, light control, UV or glare protection. Serving the La Verne, Glendora, San Dimas, Covina and West Covina areas we can help with these types of windows.
