The most versatile of window fashions, draperies and decorative side panels are the perfect way to add drama to any room. Alone or layered with other styles of window fashions, panels give a home its own unique look. The shirred bands on these tab top panels repeat the roman shade fabric for a truly custom look at a surprisingly affordable cost.
 Affordable Elegance!

In many spaces, you want your window treatments to be functional and aesthetically pleasing. A great way to achieve that is by incorporating stationary side panels along with functional shades. Woven wood shades or bamboo shades add an organic and casual element to your space. Pair the shade with a beautiful panel which can be more traditional or casual, depending on the look you want to achieve.

Your Ceiling is often the Forgotten Fifth Wall in a room. Too often, little thought is given to a ceiling’s contribution to the overall room design, which is typically just coated in some ubiquitous white paint.
Look at your ceilings from a new perspective. Color, sheen, pattern, and texture on the ceiling can transform the entire look and feel of a room. So the next time you’re ready to refresh the look of a room and don’t know where to begin ~

Transitional is:
- Blends the best of traditional and contemporary design
- Softens the sharper edges of contemporary decor; mixes in a few turned legs or a plaid
- Furniture profiles are simple but sophisticated with gentle curves
- Using fabrics like chenille, corduroy, ultrasuede or microsuede, leather and even smooth cottons
- Usually transitional decor is marked by a restrained palette enhanced by pattern and texture
- Use of woods like maple, birch, mahogany in natural finishes; liberal use of glass and metals
- Like contemporary decor, transitional frequently uses minimal accessories
This Transitional room designed by Velvet Hammerschmidt, showcases both traditional and contemporary elements. Simple dining chair profiles paired with a rich wood table and light wood floors speak to contemporary design but then the chandelier, mirror and chair in the entry hall have much more traditional leanings. Even looking into the living room I see a traditional accent chair but modern glass and metal stacking side tables.

New Bohemia is a pastoral trend that blends bucolic elements with second-hand objects for an authentic look that updates the vintage aesthetic for a contemporary age. The composition of floral inspiration, mix of modern and craft with a feminine touch transforms the place in an original but authentic home.
