 This year I will be attending the 2011 Exciting Windows conference in Baltimore! I will enjoy 3 days of learning all the newest trends in today’s window fashions and great new ideas to bring home to my clients to make there homes even more beautiful! I’m also thrilled to bring you intriuguing ideas on color for your space to compliment your window fashion needs.   This client wanted to block all the light coming into the living room! With an arch window that can sometimes be difficult to cover in a decorative way. We have a treatment that looks good and it is completely functional! This arch treatment is above a honeycomb shade and was painted to match the shade exactly! Our client was very pleased! Now they have privacy and light control to the fullest!

This one is a favorite for many Alaskans! The Blackout Honeycomb shade with Top Down Bottom Up! This special shade is great at providing energy efficiency, blocking out 99% of the light when you don’t want it peeking in, and adds great privacy control! These shades are available in a wide variety of colors and textures to make sure it compliments your design style!

This client in south Anchorage had two windows in a stairway with too much light coming into the living room! We brought in honeycomb shades with a warm gold tone to compliment the wood trim and provide light control for a very simple, but functional treatment! We were able to use a Cordless shade for the bottom window and a standard shade with a pull cord that was easily reachable for the upper agle-top window. My client was very pleased to have complete control over the light coming in through these particular windows!

This week my client wanted a simple, clean, sheer look without using draperies. I was able to bring her an amazing soft, clean look with sheer honeycomb shades! She only needed a little bit of privacy in her kitchen and dining room area with large windows that look out into the Alaskan wilderness. So we brought a soft sheen of white to compliment the trim and complete the look!

My Client wanted to create a bedroom escape for relaxing and a sense of being in a soothing get-a-way cove! We stared our project with fresh “Mist” honeycomb shades for light-control and energy effiency! We then moved the the bedding for cool comfort. With a silky paisley print fabric, including light blues, greens, and taupes, we designed a custom bedspread and matching pillow shams. With fabric in-hand we chose a palette of blues to cover the walls and create the tranquil, serene, bedroom that we hoped for. In the end it took my clients breathe away.

Today I installed some Blackout Honeycomb Shades for a client that need some complete light control in her living room! We wanted to be able to block out all the light from glaring on the TV! We chose a nice, warm, shade called Pinecone that did the trick. Now she can enjoy movies and television without any problem. This week I had a wonderful client who wanted soft blues brought into her bedroom. We completed her need for privacy and light control with “Reef” honeycomb shades. She was very pleased with the soft look of the shade and the husband loved the energy efficiency they would provide for the upcoming Alaskan winter months! In the near future we will be adding flowing decorative drapery panels to compliment the Reef shades!

I recently had a client with a large sliding glass door and 3 large adjacent windows that needed to corrdinate in the same area. We came up with a great look that fuctions exactly how the client wanted. The slider has a beautiful Hunter Douglas Luminette window shade that softens the look in a warm golden brown tone. The 3 large windows across the room have cordless honeycomb shades in golden pinecone that lower from the top and raise from the bottom. Together this room now has the warm tones and light control needed for long Alaskan summer days!
