Delectable draperies are not for everyone, but more and more people are loving them. Some thought draperies would block their view or be too heavy! The truth is…draperies done in the right way won’t block a view they will only compliment it, and if heavy is not the look you want there are thousands of fabrics that are very light and sexy! Draperies are IN! Think of your window like a beautiful piece of art or picture. Usually that picture as a frame that compliments the picture and draws your eye to the artwork or painting. Draperies do the same for a window with a view! Simple decorative panels can add a soft frame to a window that has a beautiful view of sky-scraping mountains or a never-ending ocean of blue! This fabric will bring your eye to the window! If you choose a fabric with the colors of nature it will definitely bring the outside in! I could go on and on with how fabulous custom draperies are….and though its rather enticing, I will conclude with this…You never know what your window may be missing until you’ve stepped into the world of draperies and the many possibilities it can bring!

I really enjoyed working with this client who wanted to add some rich fabric to her room that would compliment the warm wood tones in the floor and the deep tones of reds, chocolate browns, and gold that accented her space! We found a fabric that brought a simple touch of elegance to the room with dark chocolate and gold fabric . These decorative panels add height to a smaller room and yet make it very cozy and welcoming! With a sleek decorative rod and panels on grommets we combined contempory and classy!

Imagine a great modern look with fabric on your windows! Draperies and Top Treatments can be modern and up-to-date! This client wanted just that! After remolding their living room with beautiful hard wood floors, and gorgeous new fireplace, and custom cordless honeycomb shades…We wanted to add some off the contempory tones in silvers and blacks to complete the room. We chose a stunning silver-toned fabric and went with black grommets on a black decorative rod to make a simple, yet sophisticated statement! My client was very happy to see it all come together! With our talent and imagination your windows can “Wow” you as well!

This week my client wanted a simple, clean, sheer look without using draperies. I was able to bring her an amazing soft, clean look with sheer honeycomb shades! She only needed a little bit of privacy in her kitchen and dining room area with large windows that look out into the Alaskan wilderness. So we brought a soft sheen of white to compliment the trim and complete the look!

My Client wanted to create a bedroom escape for relaxing and a sense of being in a soothing get-a-way cove! We stared our project with fresh “Mist” honeycomb shades for light-control and energy effiency! We then moved the the bedding for cool comfort. With a silky paisley print fabric, including light blues, greens, and taupes, we designed a custom bedspread and matching pillow shams. With fabric in-hand we chose a palette of blues to cover the walls and create the tranquil, serene, bedroom that we hoped for. In the end it took my clients breathe away.

Fill your home with garden treasures! For the fall bring in your garden art and use them as home decor! A beautiful handcrafted sculpter can make for a refreshing center-piece. Also you can turn a pretty pot into a catchall for odds and ends. Outside decor can brighten your home as the darker days of winter get near. These festive accents can add color and give your indoor decor a simple lift!
