I met with a returning customer last evening who wanted to add an upholstered headboard to her queen bed. She wanted a fairly nuetral color because she likes to change her bedding frequently. Headboards can be made in many styles. After looking at many photos of style choices, she decided on one with a slight arch top and deep button tufting. The fabric will be a solid, textured oatmeal color. The beauty of this headboard will come from the tufting and she will be able to enjoy this for years to come. My client today was trying to decide between woven woods and shutters for his home office. He was wanting to transition to a more formal office with rich, dark furniture. His home is also set on a beautiful lot surrounded by trees in Maineville, OH. His considerations would be to go with a more casual, natural “woodsy” feel with the woven woods, or a more formal, stately feel with the shutters. Given the setting of the home and the formal office, there is no “right ” answer - just preference.
