What is your pattern tolerance? This means, can you mix florals, stripes, checks or plaids, and solids all in the same room? Some people are uncomfortable with this and others can’t get enough. That is why you need to understand YOUR pattern tolerance. From a design standpoint, it is very possible, and even desirable, to mix patterns within a room. If you have trouble doing it yourself, then call a professional to help. We are window treatment consultants serving Mason and Maineville, OH area.

My best friends recently moved to Minneapolis. Even in the downward economy, people are still moving and have an emotional need to establish a new “home”. It may seem odd to you, but it is true that decorating is all about emotion. We have an inner need to feel safe and comfortable. Decorating a new living space is one immediate way to bring some warmth and beauty to our surroundings. Adding fabric at the windows, in the form of draperies or top treatments will enhance the living space and help in the quest of settling into a new home.

The wood can be be cut in any shape or design, allowing for a completely unique design for you. Trims, banding, pleated ruffles, gathered ruching - these are just a few of the ways you can make a cornice special.

All colors are a reflection of nature. Brown is rich, warm and comforting. It’s a color that most humanity feels comfortable with, because of its association with earth. Brown represents honesty and stability. During times of trouble, we often turn to brown and other earth tones. Interesting that brown has been a key color in fashion and home decor during this year of financial and poitical upheaval.
