What is a “window treatment”??

Windows and Walls has been taking care of window treatments in Winchester, Va for 25 years now. When I first came to work here one of my first questions was: What is a window treatment?? A window treatment is the finishing touch to a room that makes that room picture perfect. You can have all the right furniture, all the right paints, wallpapers, floors, artwork, but if you do not have the right window treatment–it may be for nought. With curtains, draperies, swags, cornices, plantation shutters, shades, blinds, etc. you can set your window apart from everyone elses. You can make the window appear taller, wider, seem like it is the same size as others in the room. It all depends on how you personally want the end result. Professional installation is very underrated as well. Pull out the latest JCPenny, Pottery Barn, or other decor magazine or catalog and take a good look at the window coverings. Do you notice the perfect loops, pleats, and folds? Nope, they don’t just happen. Now that your interest is peaked, start taking notice of the windows you see everywhere, and see what you like. I bet you’ll be surprised how many different ones there are out there now that you know the answer to the question: “What is a window treatment?”

I (Aaron Good) am enjoying very much this new experience of exploring the possibilities of this electronic age we live in. Becoming the owner of the best window fashions business (Windows and Walls) in Winchester, Va in February, the last 3 months have been full of new experiences. As an Exciting Windows! licensee, we are encouraged to explore the areas of social networking as a means to building our business, our brand, and our livelihoods. Everything at our finger tips. All just a keystroke away. I must say when I began searching these sites and making connections, I did not realize I knew so many great people. Windows and Walls, reliably built by a friend and mentor, Judy Wilfong, is in it’s 25th year here in Winchester, VA. I believe that calls for a round of applause. I would like to take this moment (and first effort at blogging) to thank Judy for this opportunity to continue her efforts and take this company to new heights.

Let’s see where Winchester and the great team we have in place will take Windows and Walls in the next 25 years……

Draperies are not only beautiful but can be very energy efficient. When insulated lining or interlining is added it increases the r value of the drapery.
