5.5 Million Shades Recalled From Major Stores
The Wall Street Journal published an article entitled “Consumer Safety Agency Recalls 5.5 Million Window Shades” about the unfortunate incidents of children getting strangled from window shade cords. This story really stresses the importance of ensuring all furnishings are child safe. Hunter Douglas, an innovator in the window fashions industry, has already developed multiple solutions such as the Literise® and Ultra Glide® lifting systems, and is continuously developing new systems to improve the safety and functionality of their products. In light of this news we will be running a child safety special from September 25th to November 16th.
The shades that were recalled were mass manufactured ready made shades for some of the large warehouse stores such as Target, IKEA and William Sonoma.
