Meet our Lead Designer Hilary! Hilary, along with her husband Nate, are the new owners of Exciting Windows! by Couture by Karen. In April of 2023, they purchased the business from Karen Essary, who was looking to retire after being in business since 1979. Previously, Hilary owned and operated a full interior design business for over 10 years, giving her a wide-ranging skill set that allowed her to take on this incredible opportunity. She graduated from Bowling Green State University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Design.

Hilary’s attention to detail and commitment to understanding every facet of a customer’s project makes her one of the best all-around designers in the Toledo area. Hilary enjoys the entire design process, from an entire house to a simple facelift. Trends, styles, and vision must all mesh together to create a comfortable and enjoyable living space. Through personalized designs and truly custom products, she helps her clients highlight their unique personalities while still providing the functional necessities with window treatments.
