Ready for a Seasonal Switch?
Find Out This Fall’s Hottest Color Trends for Window Coverings.
by Exciting Windows! | September 15, 2016
You’ve spent the summer months enjoying the outside. Now with fall approaching,
it’s time to focus on what to do inside your home – like refresh your home’s window
coverings. But, before you start shopping for spiced pumpkin curtains or very berry blinds, let’s talk fall colors and trends. That way, you can ensure your next window covering purchase is completely on target and in style.
Feeling the New Blues
In it’s Fall 2016 Color Trend Report, Pantone chose two blues as the season’s hottest shades: Riverside and Airy Blue. What makes these blues different than the others? They were chosen for their soothing, calming effect – making them a perfect selection
for a bedroom or bathroom. Besides adding some comfort and serenity to your hectic life, both colors are extremely versatile, meaning they’ll blend well in a variety of decors, from traditional to contemporary.

Jewel Tones Still Rule
According to HGTV.com, jewel tones – ranging from deep reds to subtle blues – are always a terrific fall choice because they create a sophisticated, rich atmosphere in any space, large or small. Plus, they’re the perfect way to add a pop of color, while
still sticking to a classic fall palette.

Metallics Rock, Too
Maybe it’s an after effect of the Olympics, but metallics are completely on trend this fall. Bronze, silver and gold fabrics, layered with sheer draperies, can make a dramatic impact in any room, but especially great rooms, dining rooms, and master bedrooms. Likewise, Rose Quartz, another Pantone pick and one of the 2016 colors of the year,
is a terrific way to add warmth and softness to any room in your home.
Aluminum blinds serve as an ideal backdrop in the dining room,

Never Go Wrong With Neutrals
The new neutrals are anything but boring. From blush and pale blue to charcoal and slate, these tones blend beautifully with almost any décor and size space. But if you’re looking for some added sophistication in your home this fall, then go with floor-to-ceiling window coverings in a darker neutral shade. Neutral never looked this good!

Show Some Spice With Mustard Yellow
Mustard yellow is an exotic selection for your window coverings and will certainly add spice to a room with neutral colors, or a simple decor. Also, because yellow epitomizes warmth and sunniness, it can even boost your mood. In fact, this lightest hue of the spectrum is known to be illuminating and uplifting, and the perfect way to add a touch
of cheer – and a bit of flair – to any room.
